Fifty‑four players packed into Market Street Pub in Denton for our monthly hybrid edition of Let’s Do Trivia!, where trivia meets Funky Bingo and the stakes are as real as the $2 entry fee. With 100% of the buy‑in returned as prizes, every answer — and every dab — mattered.
We kicked things off with the On‑Time Bonus, asking players to imagine Santa’s excuse for showing up late. The winning entry? “Rudolph ate the ‘nice’ list.” That earned a bonus and a few laughs.
The first half saw JC It’s My Birthday take an early lead with a perfect 9‑point Round 1. But The Trio and That Team From Ridgely kept pace, each hitting 37 points by halftime. The leaderboard was tight, with only 6 points separating the top five teams.
🎨 Secret Art Bonus
At Round 2, Question 1, teams earned a 3‑point bonus by drawing anything Christmasy in the white space of their player app. From snowmen to sleighs, the creativity was strong across the room. For the January Secret Art bonus, draw any depiction of "cold."
After halftime, the second half brought bigger wagers and bigger swings. Ganzy Dent surged with a 12‑point Round 4 and nailed the Impossible Trivia! at Round 6, Question 1 — a 6‑point reward for those who read the newsletter. Only CRS and Ganzy Dent missed it, and it cost them dearly.
Heading into the final question, JC It’s My Birthday led with 80 points, followed closely by That Team From Ridgely (77), The Trio (74), and Crap Knowledge (72). But the final wager flipped everything.
Ganzy Dent went bold, hit the final, and vaulted from mid‑pack to 1st Place with 87 points.
Crap Knowledge and The Dubs tied at 82, splitting 2nd and 3rd but after the tiebreaker, Crap Knowledge came out on top.
JC It’s My Birthday and That Team From Ridgely landed in a three‑way tie for 4th with 80 points, joined by We Know Stuff… Well Maybe, who also hit the final.

🎶 Funky Bingo Bonus
